Isosceles Graduate Accountant and Harlequins winger Heather Cowell made her international debut for England Women on Sunday against Canada.
England’s convincing win over the North American visitors was watched by 6,300 people in the stadium and one million people on BBC Two.
Heather joined Isosceles in January 2019 as a Graduate Accountant and has worked hard to balance her sporting career with her work at Isosceles. Not only does she work hard for her clients and study for her accountancy exams, but she also plays rugby for Harlequins Ladies.
Winger Heather made her international debut at Twickenham Stoop on Sunday, where the Red Roses dismantled Canada to cement the team’s dominance in the women’s game.
Heather got onto the scoresheet in the opening minutes of the first half and ended the half how she started it with another try in the closing minutes.
Commenting on Heather’s impressive achievement, Isosceles CEO Mike O’Connell says: “We are very proud of Heather for marking her England debut with two stunning tries and a convincing win over Canada.”
“Her achievement at the weekend is testament to the hard work and professionalism she has shown throughout her sporting career.”
“Representing your country at an international level is tremendously impressive but when it is combined with studying for accountancy exams and delivering a first-class service to clients at the same time it is even more remarkable.”
“Heather has always been a fantastic role model for any young person and continues to give something back to the aspiring sportswomen of tomorrow.”
“Everyone at Isosceles wishes Heather the best in her rugby career and eagerly awaits more stories of success.”
Mike also added: “It’s a shame Heather doesn’t play for Ireland!”
